every sound on this recording was sourced from my personal sonic youth collection. i had the idea for a beat tape comprised entirely of sy samples back when i accepted that there wouldn't be any new sonic albums, but i never got around to making it. when the pandemic quarantine began, i 1: wasn't able to go dig for records, and 2: had time to do some deep listening. with the encouragement of a few friends, i started to work on these tracks for real. this was made with sincere love and respect for the original material. i hope you can enjoy it in good health. thank you.
